Wild West Math
Grades 2 - 6

box box Join Trailhand Dan, Rattlesnake Pete, Tumbleweed, and others as they sing and ride through 4 great math activities in the Old West! The colorful characters in Wild West Math motivate and guide students through fun activities at Round-up Trail and Place Value Pass. Children love riding a bucking bronco while mastering their basic facts. At Computation Corral, students can work on problems from beginning addition through long division with decimals. Outstanding graphics and sound, easily selected options, excellent tutorial help screens, and focused practice activities keep your students coming back to master a wide range of math skills. Aligned with NCTM standards.

Program Options: Set options for each of the 4 activities. For Place Value practice, choose numbers through thousands, millions, or billions. Choose to round numbers to the nearest ten, hundred, and/or thousand. For basic facts practice, choose to add, subtract, multiply, divide, or any combination of operations. For addition and subtraction facts, choose number facts from 0-10, 11-18, or 0-18. For multiplication and division choose 0(1)-5, 6-10, or 0(1)-10. Computation options include settings for addition and subtraction from 2-5 digits, with or without regrouping, multiplication with 1 or 2 digit multipliers, and division with 1 or 2 digit divisors. Decimals may be selected for any type of problem.

Options and Easy Track: Set activity options for the whole class all at once or for any selected group or individual.

Student Records: A summary screen provides feedback on student performance for the latest session, last 5 sessions, and cumulative work to date. Scores may be viewed as number right/total, as a percent, or as a letter grade. Student records may be printed. Open Easy Track for more detailed records. Compare individual records to class, grade level, or selected group averages. Assess graphs of student growth for any specific learning objective. A variety of charts and graphs may be customized and are available for printing.

Easy Track is included with all Micrograms programs.
